Brent Williams's Master's work pertains to the mechanics of insulator behavior in concrete crosstie elastic fastening systems. His work specifically looks into quantifying performance metrics to evaluate and understand loading conditions associated with insulator failures on in-service track. Of other particular interest in his research is the distribution of lateral loads being put into the fastening system. He will graduate in May of 2014 with a M.S. in Civil Engineering concentrated in Transportation Engineering.
