Mei-Cheng Shih is currently a PhD student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).He received his M.S. in transportation engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 2010 and B.S. in civil engineering from National Central University, Taiwan in 2008.
Mei-Cheng Shih's recent research topic focuses on the analysis to rail capacity with the consideration of the effect of rail infrastructural properties, the stochasticity in operational environment and the variation of traffic characteristics. He is also interested in applying mathematical optimization models to solve the operational problems in the field of railroad system management.
