TRB 96th Annual Meeting, Washington DC – January 2017

RailTEC faculty, students and alumni gather at the 96th Annual Transportation Research Board meeting in Washington, DC on January 8 - 12, 2017. Click here for a guide to RailTEC presentations or session chairs. Overall RailTEC had 41 separate entries, including 30 presentations, 18 session leaders and 3 committee chairs. In addition Samantha Chadwick, a graduate research assistant, received the NURail Center 2016 Student of the Year award for Grant DTRT12-G-UTC18 at the CUTC Awards Banquet.

Dr. Chris Barkan, Dr. Rapik Saat and Dr. Xiang Liu (Rutgers) after receiving their 2016 TRB Committee on Transportation of Hazardous Materials (AT040) Outstanding Contribution Award for the article: Probability analysis of multiple-tank-car release in railway hazardous materials transportation". The purpose of this award is to formally recognize outstanding achievement in hazardous materials transportation research, innovation, regulation, or management.
