Amit Garg is pursuing his second Master’s degree within the RailTEC group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He works as a Chief Engineer in the Indian Railways and is a professional with 28 years of experience in railway design, construction, maintenance, operations, administration and finance. He is currently carrying out research in failure analysis of concrete ties and improvement in track structure. He is also conducting a study on use of asphalt in track structure for high speed rail systems.
