Professional Interests

Andrew earned his Master’s Degree in 2014 within the RailTEC group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was a member of the infrastructure group which worked on the FRA concrete crosstie project. Andrew’s work focused on developing a mechanistic design approach for concrete crossties and fastening systems. He also had interests in characterizing the lateral wheel load distribution for mainline railroad traffic.
