Professional Interests

Brent's Master's work pertained to the mechanics of insulator behavior in concrete crosstie elastic fastening systems. His work looked into quantifying performance metrics to evaluate and understand loading conditions associated with insulator failures on in-service track. Of other particular interest in his research was the distribution of lateral loads being put into the fastening system. Brent graduated in May of 2014 with a M.S. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation Engineering.
