Matthew Csenge earned his master’s degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015. He worked as a graduate research assistant within the Railroad Transportation Engineering Center (RailTEC). Matthew’s research focused on railroad infrastructure, including bending capacity of plastic composite railroad ties, and design of concrete crossties and fastening systems. Academically, Matthew had interests in track design, maintenance, and construction of rapid transit and commuter rail systems.
