Professional Interests

Matthew Greve began his career with RailTEC as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the summer of 2010, and began his Master's work as a Graduate Research Assistant in the summer of 2013. He received his Master’s Degree in 2015 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focused on the behavior of concrete crosstie rail seats in response to varying loading environments and track structure. He was also responsible for conducting and reporting on track component performance tests for industry partners. During his time at the University of Illinois, Matthew was involved with the UIUC AREMA Student Chapter, and served as Vice President for the 2013 calendar year and as President for the 2014 calendar year.
