August 2014: The 2014 Global Level Crossing Safety & Trespass Prevention Symposium (GLXS) on 3 – 8 August was a huge success. Over 230 attendees represented 26 countries and 27 states. The symposium provided an opportunity for participants to exchange information and share best practices to improve the safety of the at-grade interface between highway and rail systems. Highlights included rides on Little Obie and a keynote speech by Administrator Joe Szabo of the Federal Railroad Administration.
