He was accompanied by UIUC CEE alumnus Kevin Day, who is Assistant Chief Engineer with CN’s Engineering Department, and Marie Penuel who is a Recruiter with CN Human Resources.

UIUC CN Research Fellowships are awarded to outstanding students engaged in rail transportation and engineering research. They are intended to encourage and support graduate student research to advance rail safety, efficiency and reliability. These fellowships are supported by an endowment provided to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign by the CN Foundation in 2003 and matched by the University.
