July 2016: On 29 July 2016 the RailTEC Infrastructure Research Group visited St. Louis for meetings with St. Louis MetroLink – the St. Louis area rail transit provider. The visit included a ride on MetroLink from Belleville, Illinois to St. Louis, Missouri, and a tour of the MetroLink control center and mechanical repair facility. As a part of the visit, MetroLink’s Chief of Operations presented an update on their system, and RailTEC researchers presented the latest findings related to the design and performance of rail transit infrastructure, work funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
