November 2016: Russ McDaniel of Norfolk Southern (NS) received the Association of American Railroads (AAR) Professional Environmental Excellence Award at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s 18th Railroad Environmental Conference (RREC) on Wednesday, November 2. This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding performance in environmental awareness and responsibility during the year and is the highest honor for environmental professionals in the railroad industry.
