Location: The 2018 RailTEC Short Courses will be held at the M. T. Geoffrey Yeh Student Center in the Newmark Civil Engineering Laboratory (205 N. Mathews Ave., Urbana, IL 61801).
Local Transportation: The Newmark Lab is within walking distance from the Hampton Inn and the Illini Union.
Parking: Parking on campus is extremely limited. There is no free parking on campus. The hotel accommodations recommended on our website are within walking distance to the course venue. We have a limited number of parking passes available for purchase for the week.
Airport Transportation: The Champaign-Urbana (Willard) airport is located on Rt. 45 ( Neil St. in Champaign ) approximately 6 miles south of downtown. Allow 25 minutes to drive there from campus. Taxis can be used for about $12: Yellow Cab 217-355-3553, Illini Taxi 217-359-8634.
Attire: The recommended dress for the conference is “business casual”.
Minimum Enrollment: The course is subject to a minimum enrollment of fifteen participants. If the course has fewer than fifteen registrants by Friday 6 July 2018 it will be subject to cancellation, if course is canceled a full refund will be given.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received in writing by Friday 6 July 2018 will be processed for a full refund of the registration cost. No refunds will be issued after Friday 6 July 2018.
