Kaifeng’s research focuses on railway track safety through a combination of field data collection, analytical modeling, and laboratory investigation. His work uses field data and analytical models to characterize track conditions, supported by laboratory experiments that evaluate the risk of thermal track buckling and improve the accuracy and efficiency of predictive maintenance.
