Professional Interests
Mohammad’s background spans the design, construction, and teaching of industrial machinery. He began as a HVAC design engineer before moving into teaching as an instructor in mechanical technology at Feni Polytechnic Institute in Bangladesh. He later served as a graduate assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where his MS research addressed trajectory tracking and control of a robotic manipulator in the Biorobotics Lab. He then joined Foxconn in Wisconsin, where he researched and developed machine vision systems for server board manufacturing. Most recently, as a Software & Controls Engineer at Racine Railroad Products, his work spanned mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical-control system design as well as machine vision for maintenance-of-way (MOW) machinery. At RailTEC, his research centers on railway track technologies for safer and more reliable railroad infrastructure.
