A new Rail Infrastructure and Vehicle Inspection Technology (RIVIT) Conference will be held on 20-21 June 2017 on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. Its objectives include improving the effectiveness of existing technologies, development and implementation of new technologies, and presenting research on emerging technologies with the potential to be applied to rail transportation. Topic areas include: Infrastructure, Rolling Stock, Technologies, Analytics including both Freight and Passenger & Transit. Technical tours for attendees will include viewing inspection vehicles, tour test laboratories and visit rail-related manufacturing facilities. The conference will provide ample time to meet and engage in discussions with experts in the field. Exhibitor and supporter opportunities will be available. The call for abstracts has been announced and are due by 3 February 2017.
