Illinois’ rail education is not limited to only coursework. Students attend national and international industry conferences, participate in hands-on field trips and can be involved in an active AREMA student chapter. This extra effort is reflect by the number of students who receive both industry and university scholarships. RailTEC students also actively promote railway transportation to the next generation of university students through rail-focused K-12 STEM outreach.
