Professional Interests
Jose Gustavo obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Federal University of Technology – Parana, Brazil, and is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Jose Gustavo has worked as a lecturer at Brazilian universities, teaching courses and supervising research related to the area of transportation. Jose Gustavo’s research interests are railway components and operation, with a special focus on the study of track buckling.
