Professional Interests
Kamyar recieved his BS (Railway Track and Structures Engineering) and MS (Railway Tracks Engineering) in Iran, and he is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Kamyar assisted as a research assistant during his master’s and worked on different research such as investigation of ballast fracture toughness and analysis of wheel-rail interaction with under tie pads. Kamyar’s research interests are railway track and component design, train-track interaction analysis and in-field measurement.
